IRSC Career Closets

IRSC Career Closets
The Indian River State College (IRSC) Professional Clothing Closet works to advance the appearance and confidence of our students by providing access to FREE professional and business attire appropriate for career fairs, interviews and professional careers. There is no fee for students to participate and students can keep all clothing they pick out.
  • The Main Campus Career Closet is conveniently located in E-227 at the Main Campus. It is open to students Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Clothing Donation Guidelines
We are currently accepting donations of interview-appropriate clothing and accessories, such as:
  • Professional suits and separates for both men and women of all sizes
  • Scarves, handbags, jewelry, new pantyhose, and shoes
  • Briefcases, portfolios, professional pens, and stationery
  • Ties, men's belts, men's dress socks, and dress shoes
All clothing donations must be:
  • in new or like-new condition
  • dry cleaned, or cleaned and pressed
  • on hangers and ready to wear to an interview
  • less than five years old and/or contemporary in style
When donating clothing or other items, remember: our students want to achieve a current, professional appearance.  Please only donate items that you would feel comfortable wearing on an interview yourself. The IRSC Foundation reserves the right to remove clothing from the closet that does not meet the guidelines or is deemed inappropriate.
To Donate Clothing: Contact the IRSC Foundation front desk at 772-462-4786 to schedule an appointment.
Drop-off location: IRSC Foundation, 3209 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, 34981
The IRSC Professional Closet has been made possible through the support of IRSC faculty and staff, and through the partnership with Hope's Closet (a division of Graceway Village Ministries.)
If you are a vendor of business professional clothes, interview essentials or office supplies and would like to participate in our cause, we welcome your participation. Thank you for helping us provide this much-needed service to our students.
