Adrian M. Sample Scholarship Trust

The Adrian M. Sample Scholarship Trust provides scholarship assistance to residents of St. Lucie and Okeechobee County, Florida or residents of a foreign country. Scholarships are also available for students pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine or Theology.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
  1. Be a resident of St. Lucie or Okeechobee County, Florida (minimum of one year) or a resident of a foreign country
  2. An active member of a Protestant church
  3. Be accepted for full time enrollment to attend:
  4. An accredited junior or community college in the State of Florida, or an accredited four-year college or university in the State of Florida or Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina.
  5. Unmarried, unless a graduate student (working toward a Master´s or Doctorate)
  6. Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
Selection Process
The Scholarship Committee will consider these criteria in making their selection:
  1. Academic achievement
  2. Financial need
  3. Letter of recommendation from church pastor
  4. Statement of educational goals and career objectives
Deadline to Apply
Applications must be received by Monday, May 30, 2022. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
All applicants will be notified of their status by Monday, July 11, 2022.

Method of Disbursement
Awards are paid in two installments and mailed directly to the college or university.
Scholarship Duration
The Adrian M. Sample scholarship is a renewable scholarship for a total of four years, but you must submit a renewal application each and every year to be considered for continued support. To remain eligible for the Adrian M. Sample scholarship, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
Revocation of Scholarship
This scholarship may be revoked by the Board of Directors of the Sample Foundation for any of the following reasons:
  1. Students placed on academic probation by the college may be retained on scholarship for one term (semester or quarter). If at the end of this term, they are not removed from probation by the college or university, the scholarship and future payments are automatically revoked.
  2. Students suspended from the college for academic or other reasons will have their scholarship automatically revoked, effective the date of suspension even though they may be re-admitted by the college.
  3. Any act of misconduct which would bring discredit to the image of the scholarship is subject to review by the Foundation Board of Directors and possible revocation.
