Outstanding Learning Environments Prepare Students for Success

Providing an outstanding learning environment is one of the main focuses of the IRSC Foundation. Private donations are crucial to supplement state funding. Partnerships with individuals, organizations, businesses, and corporations provide the much-needed technology and equipment required to train students for emerging career fields. In addition to IRSC students, community residents also benefit from access to IRSC’s state-of-the-art facilities. IRSC facilities are constructed following careful analysis of student and community needs.

To recognize outstanding donors, private support of IRSC Educational Facilities is recognized with permanent Naming Opportunities ranging from the naming of a classroom or lab to the naming of the entire facility. Permanent naming opportunities are available for facilities located throughout IRSC’s service district.

Eastman Advanced Workforce Training Complex … coming 2023

In January of 2021, IRSC began construction of the Eastman Advanced Workforce Training Complex at Indian River State College’s Edwin R. Massey Campus located in Fort Pierce.  IRSC’s current industrial training facility is 58 years old and needs to be replaced.

When completed, this state-of-the-art, 70,000-square-foot facility for industrial education will be equipped with the technology and tools needed to prepare students for high-demand, high-paying jobs in the following trades:

  • Advanced Welding
  • Automotive Technology
  • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R)
  • Aviation Technology
  • Marine Technology
  • Manufacturing

Financial support is still needed to complete construction and provide the educational tools, equipment, and technology needed to train a skilled workforce.
