Message from the President
For the past 60 years, Indian River State College has been a community of remarkable people steadfastly committed to helping students succeed in their educational pursuits. This has never been more evident than in 2020, a year in which we’ve worked together to overcome numerous challenges. I am so proud of your efforts to always move our College forward and build future capacity for student success.
As I have done annually each year of my presidency, I once again ask for your generosity and support of our IRSC Foundation. From student scholarships to the construction of world-class training facilities, there are many ways to help support our students and build a better community. One particular effort for your consideration is the Treasure Coast Advanced Manufacturing Center, a state-of-the-art, 55,000-square-foot facility for Advanced Welding, Manufacturing, Automotive Technology, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, and Marine Technology. Our region will benefit greatly from a modern, industrial skills training facility. Most importantly, it will connect IRSC students with high wage employment opportunities in our area.
While the State of Florida has provided 50 percent of the funding for this state-of-the-art training hub, we must secure another $12 million to complete and equip the building to train the 21st Century workforce. Whether through a one-time gift or payroll deduction, your support will make a big difference in bringing the Advanced Manufacturing Center to fruition. Even a few dollars per pay period can quickly add up for this priority, and gifts of any amount will be recognized on the Center’s Wall of Honor. Gifts of $5,000 and more may also be pledged for up to three years to support the campaign.
Gift per pay period Annual gift
$5 $120
$10 $240
$20 $480
$50 $1,200
If you prefer, you may also designate your gift to another critical student success initiative. Any support at any level is always greatly appreciated and worthy of recognition on the Annual Honor Roll. Once again, I continue to be inspired by your giving nature as Pioneers, and offer you my appreciation for your ongoing commitment to IRSC and student success.
Sincerely,
Edwin R. Massey, Ph.D.
President
