IRSC Employee Appeal

Employee Support

Message from the President

Dear IRSC Family,

As college employees, you’re sincerely invested in the lives and success of our students. You’re also aware that many of their stories include great personal and financial challenges, like that of Jeremiah below.  Through your generosity, Indian River State College can award scholarships in an effort to help our students overcome many of these challenges and achieve their educational goals.

Jeremiah Willis, now a Vero Beach police officer, vividly recalls being homeless. Inspired to better his life, Jeremiah applied for scholarships through the IRSC Foundation. Thanks to your help, he was awarded scholarships and completed his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, the first in both his birth and adoptive families to earn a college degree.

Every year, the IRSC Foundation provides financial assistance to thousands of worthy students. Unfortunately, we’re still turning away many who are deserving, simply because we don’t have the funds to assist every struggling student. Our employees are a vital source for this much-needed assistance.

This year, our goal is to raise $100,000 by asking each of our 815 full-time employees to give
a minimum of $5 per pay period to support the IRSC Employees Endowed Scholarship.

Even a few dollars per pay period can quickly add up and make a difference in students’ lives.

Gift per pay period            Total annual gift

$5                                      $120

$10                                    $240

$20                                    $480

$50                                    $1,200

If you prefer, you may designate your gift to another critical student success initiative, educational facility, or scholarship fund.  Your support at any level, is always greatly appreciated and will be recognized with a listing on the Foundation’s Honor Roll.

Thank you for your dedication and ongoing commitment to IRSC and student success.
