IRSC Libraries are having a Research Competition to recognize students who demonstrate excellent research skills. They will award scholarships in the amount of $500, $250, and $100 for the top three research projects submitted. The contest is open to all currently enrolled undergraduate IRSC students. The AXA Achievement Scholarship provides over $1.4 million in scholarships to young people throughout the nation. Eligible applicants must be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 United States, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico, be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2016-2017 academic year, and demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities. The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSASE) will be awarding three $1,200.00 scholarships in 2017. Applicants must be either a Political Science, Public or Business Administration, or Journalism/Mass Communications major. The Gifford Youth Achievement Center (GYAC) is now offering vocational scholarships to adults who live in Indian River County who are pursuing vocational training. For more information on how to apply, view the application.  

Clay Ford Minority Scholarship for 5th Year Accounting Students: To encourage students to remain in school for the fifth year required to obtain a CPA license, a fifth-year minority scholarship program has been established, setting aside $200,000 per year in scholarships. Perfect Plants Nursery Scholarship: Applicants must be an incoming freshman, sophomore, junior or senior enrolled full or part time into a course of study at a community/state college or university leading to a career in the horticultural industry. USAttorneys.com has an ongoing scholarship essay contest for students in any major. The scholarship requires an essay on one of the following topics: immigration reform, how to apply for a work visa, the importance of having an immigration lawyer, how to apply for asylum. Nurse.org Healthcare Leaders Scholarship has an annual application
with a deadline of January 29.  Applicants must be 17 or over with a 3.0+ GPA, and enrolled or accepted to a nursing or healthcare-related program to be eligible. Both graduate and undergraduate students are welcome to apply. You can apply online at : http://nurse.org/healthcare-leaders/

The Agnes Peebles Memorial Scholarship Program is awarding a four-year scholarship to a female Indian River County high school graduate. The student does not have to be a recent high school graduate. For more information, click hereDeadline for receipt of the application and counselor form is March 15.

The Lions Club of Sebastian is awarding a $1,500 scholarship to a student pursuing a degree who has already completed one or more years of college.   The student or parent must be a resident of Sebastian.The application can be downloaded at:http://e-clubhouse.org/userfiles/8748/file/Scholarshipcollege.pdf. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Transfer Scholarship is for sophomores planning to enroll in a baccalaureate program next year. Eligible applicants must demonstrate the potential to make a significant contribution to a field of study and/or society. Students must also have a 3.5 or higher GPA, and significant unmet financial need. This competitive scholarship award can total up to $30,000 annually! P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Florida has scholarships/projects for women to pursue a higher education degree.  If interested in reading about the six projects, please go to peoflorida.org and click on P.E.O. International and then click on P.E.O. Projects/Philanthropies.

A description of each project is given.  If you want further information about a project, click on “information card” for the project you seek and complete the required information.  This form will be sent to our chapter P.E.O. The annual TYLENOL® Scholarship program application is now available to students who are pursuing careers in the healthcare, life sciences, or related fields. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, an educational and youth leadership development organization, has launched a national campaign to recruit Hispanic students - undergraduate and graduate- for its nationally recognized youth development leadership programs.
